  • A recipe has a shape: or ingredients:, not both.
  • Ingredients are plain Minecraft items. An item of your own can be what a recipe makes, but not what it takes: the game matches ingredients by kind only.
  • Recipes are added when the scripts load and taken away again when they are reloaded or the file is removed. recipe for is for the crafting table and smelting recipe for for the furnace; smithing recipes are not covered.
  • A shape smaller than the grid may be placed anywhere in it, as with Minecraft's own recipes.

Brewing. A brewing recipe for <item>: says what a brewing stand makes: from: is what stands in the bottles' place, and with: what is put in on top.

brewing recipe for 1 gold block:
    from: stone
    with: diamond

Brewing recipes need a Paper server, version 1.18 or newer; elsewhere the script says so when it loads. on brew: runs whenever a stand finishes, on every server. Potions themselves are items like any other: give player 1 potion with potion "swiftness".
